A web based calendar that runs over a standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer from Microsoft, and allows an organization of any size to easily and cost effectively provide personal and group calendar functions to everyone in the organization.

There is no need to install any client side software on your end users computers, simply install the application on your intranet server, or on any PC that is capable of running Internet Information Server (this is included in Windows NT, 2000, and XP Professional). aspWebCalendar can also be easily extended to your extranet and can be viewed by anyone with access to a PC connected to the internet.

Feature	Description
Group Booking	You can now optionally allow or not allow double booking of a group!  This is a great new feature that makes it very easy to setup groups to reserve resources like conference rooms!
Group Availability Chart	There is now a new chart that will show the currently selected day with all your groups and the times that they have events scheduled... this will allow you to easily see when a selected group or resource is available for any given day.
Email Notifications	You can optionally select a checkbox when adding or editing an event that will notify any who can see the event via email that there is a new event or a changed event for a group that they are assigned to.
Event Stacking on Day View	In the day view the events are now stacked on top of each other on the left hand side... events that overlap will be draw one slot to the right of the earlier event that occupies the same time slot.  This allows you to easily see when you have events that overlap timeslots and also allows you to display more events horizontally on the day view.
Optionally Cascade the Day View	You can choose to display the day agenda view the way it used to in older versions of aspWebCalendar... events will simply be aligned one per slot and will fit about 11 events on the screen horizontally.
New Linked Group Listing	You can now use the content embedding wizard to generate a linked group list that you can embed on any other page of your website that will link to your calendar filtered to the group that the user selected from the list.
Optionally Suppress all Summary Views	You now have the option to bypass all of the summary windows.  This cuts down on the number of mouse clicks required to perform many of the actions in the script.
Content Embedding Wizard	This new wizard will allow you easily generate several forms of calendar content that you can embed on other pages of your website... for example you can use this wizard to generate a mini calendar that can be added to any HMTL page.
Automatically Detects 3rd Party Components	The script will automatically detect and display any of the supported 3rd party components that are installed on your server.  This takes the guess work out of setting up the email functionality of the script.
Collapsible Side Bar	Includes a expandable and collapsible side bar that contains a quick links section and a group filter / legend area to easily and quickly change the content that is show on your calendar.
VCAL (.vcs) Export to a File	You can now export a single or several events at the same time to a .vcs file format.  This format can easily be imported into applications like Microsoft Outlook.
Day View Starts at 8:00am	You can optionally have the day view jump right to 8:00am... this is a great feature if you intend to use the calendar during business hours only.
24 Hour Time Format	We offer full support for the 24 hour time format... you simply change one variable in the file and all the times will be drawn in 24 hour format rather than the standard 12 hour format.
Event Actions Section	The event pop-up window now has a section for event actions... from this section you can Edit, Delete, Export to vCal, and Email the Creator of the event.
Add Event Here Link on Month View	The month view now has a small "+" sign next to each of the day numbers... you can click this plus sign to quickly add an event to that day.
Day View	Full featured day view contains an agenda type display of your events for the current day.
Week View	Week view easily allows you to see the entire week on a single screen.
Month View	Gives you a great representation of the month... the calendar will resize itself to fit your screen... no need to scroll around on the page just see to the last couple of days of the month.
Year View	The year view shows you a mini calendar for each month of the year.  Days with events will be highlighted in a different color so you can easily see what dates are important.  There is also an event list for the current month on the year view.
Event Listing View	The script includes an event list view that shows a listing of events for the current month and two months after it... great to see a shot of what is coming up in the next month or so.
Dynamically Expand Day Blocks on the Month View	Days that contain more events than will fit in the box on the month view can be dynamically expanded to show all the events in that day by clicking a small "chevron" in the header bar of the days block.
Optionally Require Approval for Event Additions	You can optionally require any events added by one of your users to be approved before the event shows up in your calendar.
View Filtering Option	You can use the event filter option to filter the calendar to only show a group or set of groups events on the calendar at any given time... Easily create views that contain only the groups that pertain to your user.
Support for European Date Formats	The script has been test and works well with European date formats... run your calendar in any country!
Group Event Color Coding	Each group can have its own specific color... easily differentiate what events pertain to what groups by their color... The filter panel also has a built in legend for the groups.
Edit/Delete One or All Occurrences of a Recurring Event	When editing or deleting a recurring event you can specify whether or not you want to edit all the occurrences or just the one you have clicked on.
Multi-Day Event Support	You now add a single event that spans several days... no need to enter an event more than once!
Skin Support	The looks of the calendar are all contained in a "Skin" folder.  You can easily modify the skin that comes with the script or you can create your own one from scratch.  We will also provide different skins for the calendar in the future.
Multi-Language Support	All the words and text in the script are separated out of the code and placed into a language file.  You can easily edit this language file and translate the script to a different language without messing with any of the code.
Multiple Administrative Users	Allow any of your users to perform the administration functions in the calendar... that way you can have several people help maintain the calendar if you like.
Hyperlink Field for Events	Each event can contain a link to an external file or location... when click the link will open in a new window.
Add A File to an Event	You can also add a file to any of your events... the script even has a built in component-less upload function.  Easily attach meeting notes or agendas to a given event.
5 User Definable Fields	Use the built-in user definable fields to add other types of information to your events without doing any programming or changing the database.
Administrators can Add Events for any User	The administrator has to the option to add events to a users calendar.
Popup Mini Calendars	All the date selection inputs use a popup mini calendar that have the dates with events highlighted.  There is no need to manually enter in your dates.
Embed a Mini Calendar on Your Site	You can easily use the Content Embedding Wizard to include a mini-calendar on any other page of your website... event regular HTML pages.
Embed an Event Listing on Your Site	You can also use the Content Embedding Wizard to include an event listing on any page of your website.
Client Side Entry Form Validation	The event additions are all validated on the client side to make sure the users don't enter harmful data.
Optionally Require Login	You can optionally require visitors to login before they can view any of the calendar content.
Web Based Configuration	You can setup all your preferences using a form online when logged into the calendar as the administrator... no need to edit and of the script files to set things up.
100% ASP Code	No need to install any components to use aspWebCalendar.. since the code is also just .asp you get full access to the source code to make any modifications that you need to fit the use you have for the calendar.
SQL Server or Access Database	The script will work with SQL Server and Access right out of the box... we include instructions and a .SQL file to get things setup on your SQL server.
